Description:

Ancient Near East, Holy Land, the Levant, ca. 800 to 400 BCE. This rotund terracotta vessel features a large rounded base, sloping side walls, flat shoulders with two semi-circular handles, a squat tubular neck, wide mouth, and a flared lip. Faded traces of two maroon-hued painted bands around the side walls are still visible. Size: 4" W x 3.25" H (10.2 cm x 8.3 cm).

Provenance: Munich priest F.X.E. collection, acquired in 1985
