Ancient Near East / Eastern Mediterranean, Holyland, ca. 1500 to 500 BCE. A charming terracotta pouring vessel enveloped in a pale-yellow pigment intended to imitate gold. The ancient vessel presents a spherical body, a tubular neck, and an annular rim, all sitting upon a pedestal foot. An arched handle crowns the rim, while a conical spout extends diagonally from the shoulder. Size: 4" W x 6.1" H (10.2 cm x 15.5 cm)
