Ancient Near East, Holy Land, Middle Bronze Age, ca. 1700 to 1400 BCE. A wheel-thrown pottery urn of sizable form with an apple-shaped body supported by a trio of loop-form feet, all enveloped in umber-hued slip. Areas of gray are visible where the slip has worn away, and sparse earthen and sea encrustations are visible on both the interior and exterior surfaces. Size: 7.7" Diameter x 7" H (19.6 cm x 17.8 cm)
