Description:

Northern Europe, Scandinavia, Viking or Norse culture, ca. 900 to 1300 CE. A hefty steel blade, possibly an axe or a hoe blade with a slightly flared blade tip and thick socket. The opening indicates the hafting angle for the handle, which suggests this was used like a hoe or for woodworking. In typical Viking fashion, almost any utilitarian tool could be turned into a battle-ready weapon at a moment's notice. Size: 7" L x 2.5" W (17.8 cm x 6.4 cm)
