Description:

South Asia, Indus Valley, Harrapan/Mohenjo Daro, ca. 2800 to 1800 CE. A gorgeous wheel-thrown cream-hued terracotta bowl with a petite circular foot, wide bowl base, tall side walls which gently taper to a flared rim, and a deep inner cavity. Accentuating the vessel's exterior are repeating painted cross-hatched triangles with red-and-black zig-zag designs in between, all below two solid bands of red and black pigment with a linear fence-like design. Size: 4.5" W x 3.375" H (11.4 cm x 8.6 cm).
