Description:

Etruria, central Italy, ca. 600 to 400 BCE. An impressive terracotta bust presenting a visage of a young man with handsome features including almond-shaped eyes with nicely delineated lids and arched brows, a straight, noble-looking nose, full closed lips, a rounded chin, an Adam's apple delineated on his neck, and a coiffure of wavy hair incised to appear combed forward. As was customary of Etruscan sculpture, this piece was mold-made and probably represented an idealized male. This piece has been tested using thermoluminescence (TL) and has been found to e ancient and of the period stated. A full report will accompany purchase.
