Ancient Central Europe, Germany and Austria, Danube River Basin, Hallstatt culture, ca. 8th to 6th century BCE. A gorgeous bronze spiral torc (torq, torque) necklace of a tight circular design curved into a circular form with hammer-flattened terminals curled into delicate tubular loops. This torc is of a smaller size, and the green and brown patina further accentuates its attractive appeal. Size: 5" W x 4.9" H (12.7 cm x 12.4 cm).
