Description:

Pre-Columbian, Southern Mexico, Guerrero region, Mezcala culture, ca. 500 to 100 BCE. A characteristically abstract anthropomorphic figure, carved from mottled greenstone, that stands upon attenuated legs. The figure holds both arms atop the chest while peering outwards from a gaunt face with drilled eyes and a furrowed brow. Size: 3.4" W x 7.625" H (8.6 cm x 19.4 cm); 8.875" H (22.5 cm) on included custom stand.
