Rome, Imperial Period, ca. 2nd to 4th century CE. A trio of beautiful bracelets: one made from deep blue, one made from pale blue with thin brown lines, and the third made from almost translucent yellow glass, all three twisted. After the invention of glassmaking, personal adornments were fashioned from man-made glass like this example. A lovely piece either for wearing or intended as an elegant votive offering. Size of largest: 3.55" W (9 cm)
