Ancient Central Asia, Indus Valley, Harappan / Mohenjo-Daro civilization, ca. 2700 to 1900 BCE. A set of 3 hand-built pottery vessels including a drinking cup, an apple-shaped jar, and a deep bowl. The cup is decorated with minimalist black stripes while the jar displays groupings of diagonal striations around the midsection. The largest bowl is adorned with bands of solid red as well as black zigzagging frets spanning a cream ground. Size of largest: 5" W x 2.25" H (12.7 cm x 5.7 cm)

Provenance: private southern California, USA collection, acquired before 2000
