Description:

Native American, Southwestern United States, New Mexico, Santa Clara Pueblo, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A pair of handmade pottery vessels crafted by Santa Clara artists. The larger bowl features an indented, slightly triangular opening, while the smaller jar is nearly perfectly spherical. Both pieces exhibit highly burnished surfaces, overpainted with matte pigment for contrast. The underside of the larger bowl is signed in pencil, displaying the artist's name and "Santa Clara Pueblo," with the first initial "G." and the first letter of the surname "S." The smaller pot is signed "Berdel." Size of largest: 4.75" L x 4.5" W x 2.5" H (12.1 cm x 11.4 cm x 6.4 cm)
