Greece, Attica, Athens, ca. 4th to 3rd century BCE. An ancient Greek silver coin set in a modern ring setting as a wearable piece of jewelry. The band is a 57% yellow-gold (equivalent to 13K+) with an open back setting to view the reverse coin face which features the Athenian owl. The obverse face has Athena in profile, the patron of Athens and goddess of warfare and wisdom. Coins from Athens were widely recognizable in antiquity and remain highly collectable today.
