Description:

Ancient Greece, ca. 4th century BCE. A hollow, mold-made terracotta bust of a woman, probably a goddess, with substantive white pigment remaining. She has a wonderfully life-like face, with a long, thin nose, deep-set eyes, and a small mouth. Her hair is in the classical Greek style, in uniform curls around her face. Votive pottery figures like this one were sold outside of temples to worshipers who would give them as offerings. Size: 3.35" W x 5.65" H (8.5 cm x 14.4 cm)
