Description:

Greece, possibly eastern Mediterranean, late Hellenistic period, ca. 2nd to 1st century BCE. A gorgeous core-formed glass bead boasting a delicate trailing resembling a feathered motif adorning its slender, biconical form. Vibrant stripes of yellow nicely contrast the navy ground of the ancient adornment, while hints of cyan blue embellish each end. Such a lavish ornament was likely a symbol of wealth and elevated social status. An opulent example of ancient art meets modern fashion! Size: 1" W x 4.1" H (2.5 cm x 10.4 cm); 4.9" H (12.4 cm) on included custom stand.
