Greek, Hellenistic, ca. 1st century BCE to 1st century CE. An elegant, mold formed Hellenistic glass bowl of an attractive hemispheric shape with a rounded base that is able to sit on its own. The vessel presents with lovely golden amber hues, two wheel-cut grooves running in parallel below the rim on the interior wall, and areas of weathering film, with traces of purple and blue iridescence. A lovely piece of Hellenistic glassware exhibiting impressive artistry and technique. Size: 4.5" Diameter x 2.5" H (11.4 cm x 6.4 cm)
