Description:

Greece, 1st millennium BCE. One of my favorites! This is a flattened wire coiled into sinuous spirals with double twist spirals at the center. It has a pin and catch place which are ingeniously incorporated into the design. These items are from the time of Homer, and were used to hold cloaks or other clothing in place. Comes with custom stand. Size: 3.25" W x 1.4" H (8.3 cm x 3.6 cm)
