Description:

Ancient Greece, Cypro-Geometric, ca. 900 to 750 BCE. An exemplar of Greek Cypriot pottery that preceded the emergence of Classical Greek pottery, with a near-spherical body, tubular neck, and trefoil spout, and long loop handle bridging shoulder to spout. The exterior walls are adorned with target motif -concentric black on white circles, including a conjoined pair (similar to figure 8 design) below the spout. In addition there are black linear bands tracing the contours of the rim, neck, and handle. An attractive vessel with characteristic Cypriot target or bullseye motifs. Size: 4.125" in diameter x 5.5" H (10.5 cm x 14 cm)

See Desmond Morris "The Art of Ancient Cyprus" for a similar example.
