Athens (Attic) or South Italy (Apulian), Ca. 4th Century BC. Tall pottery bulbous bottom vessel with disc foot and twin handles from rim to side walls. Decorated in classic red-figure technique on main panel with a single image of Dionysus, head partially bald, long ears and full, bushy beard; draped in a chiton, his left shoulder exposed. On the reverse is a single figure, appearing to be a female wearing a himation, staff in her left hand. Size: 5.75" Diameter x 7.625" H (14.6 cm x 19.4 cm)
