Description:

**Originally Listed At $200**

Ancient Greece, Archaic period, ca. 6th century BCE. A hollow-molded terracotta female kore standing barefoot atop an integral cuboid plinth and wearing a form-fitting garment. She holds one hand to her bosom and the other to her womb, and her minimalist countenance is presented beneath a draped veil. Traces of white and pink pigment are visible near the neck and chest and suggests that the figure was at one time painted with vibrant colors. Size: 1.75" W x 5.9" H (4.4 cm x 15 cm)

Provenance: private J.H. collection, Beaverton, Oregon, USA, purchased in 2001; ex-Tom Cederlind collection, Portland, Oregon, USA
