Description:

Ancient Greece, Archaic, ca. 6th to 5th century BCE. A cast-bronze bull head pendant with a large, rounded snout, contoured facial lines, two hanging ears, and a pair of curved horns. A small loop on the verso allows for suspension, and the entire pendant is covered in thick layers of green patina. The pendant hangs from a modern leather necklace cord with silver-toned metal components and a lobster clasp on one end. Wearable and stylish! Size (pendant): 1.5" L x 0.75" H (3.8 cm x 1.9 cm); size (necklace): 14" L (35.6 cm).

  • Condition: Strung in modern times and wearable as shown. Pendant is ancient and necklace components are modern. Surface wear and abrasions commensurate with age, small losses to one side of snout, and fading to some finer details. Light earthen deposits and nice green patina throughout.
