Classical World, Southern Italy, Apulia, ca. 340 to 325 BCE. A pretty black kylix (drinking cup) with a wide, evenly sloping bowl and inward-turning rim. The delicate round foot joins to the body via a narrow leg. The thin black glaze, fired to iridescence, covers the entire surface except for small rings around the foot and base. Size: 5.85" W x 2.6" H (14.9 cm x 6.6 cm)
