Magna Graecia, Apulia, ca. 5th-4th Century BCE. Terracotta lidded vessel, lid painted with two women, one reclining and holing a platter, the other winged and looking off into the distance. Jewelry and wings are highlighted with white pigment. Palmette designs separate the two women. Base is slipped in back, except for the stem which is painted red. 8"H x 10-1/2"W. Provenance: Ex-J.
