Description:

Classical World, Greco-Roman period, possibly Etruscan, ca. 1st millennium BCE. A wonderful bronze mirror of an unusual form, with a circular body that continues to an integral handle which is decorated with stamped double beaded borders, an "X" created via double beaded bands across the face of the handle, embossed circular motifs flanking the intersection of the X pattern, adorning the upper ends of the handle, and the lower curvilinear border, just below a band of square cutouts.
