A compressed circular vessel body decorated with concentric rings of red and black on a beige ground, resting on a broad pedestal foot. The white chevron outlined with black is perhaps symbolic of patterning on snakeskin. It encompasses several cultures and sites that were prominent between 500 CE and 1520 CE, and Parita is located in the central part of Panama, similar to other Gran Cocle sites, and known for the use of black, red, and buff.
