A wonderful Italic carnelian intaglio depicting 3 warriors set in a Neoclassical gold ring to be wearable. Boasting a translucent shade of scarlet, the gemstone displays a dramatic composition with 1 warrior kneeling to the left and another standing above him with his hand on his back as he gazes right; both are nude save for plumed Corinthian helmets. The third warrior stride right in the background clad in a kilt and wielding a shield. Size of intaglio: 0.5" L x 0.3" W (1.3 cm x 0.8 cm); of ring: 1" L x 0.8" W (2.5 cm x 2 cm); US ring size: 8; gold quality: 70% (over 16 karats); weight: 4.4 grams

  • Condition: Ancient intaglio set in a Neoclassical ring to be wearable. Chipping to upper right of intaglio, but imagery still clear. Otherwise, ring and intaglio are in good condition with nice detail. The number "18" stamped on interior of ring band likely denoting gold quality.

For shipments of oversize items, Artemis Gallery will assist the buyer in working with a third-party shipping provider. For shipments outside of the USA, customs and duties may apply upon entry into said country, and this fee, if any, is the buyer's responsibility.
