New Mexico, ca. 1975. Carved wooden Santos by the world famous artsist George Lopez. Depicting San Pasqual Baylon, a noted Spanish friar who was Canonized about 100 years after his death in 1690. San Pasqual is the patron saint of the kitchen hence this depcition of him holding an ear of corn. Signed in pencil on the base. Size: 11" H (27.9 cm)
