Western Europe, France, Neolithic Period, ca. 7000 to 2000 BCE. A set of 2 hand-knapped chert scrapers, one with a narrow head and the other with a wider head. The first tool is of relatively straight form with a butt end that is wider than the blade end, and the larger tool is of trapezoidal form with a hefty yet narrow butt. Size (largest stone): 4.7" L x 0.9" W x 0.75" H (11.9 cm x 2.3 cm x 1.9 cm); (second stone): 4.3" L x 1.6" W x 0.6" H (10.9 cm x 4.1 cm x 1.5 cm)

Provenance: private Lake Helen, Florida, USA collection, inherited via descent from grandfather, collected before 2000
