Description:

Northern Europe, Norway, ca. 19th to early 20th century CE. A wonderful collection of four silver teaspoons with gorgeous gilt on the bowls and filigree cloisonne in white, red and a teal blue on the handles and undersides of the bowls. These spoons are quite elegant, with twisted handles, and cloisonne finials. The necks are stamped with faint marks that are nearly indiscernible, however a few numbers accord with Norwegian assay marks. Scandinavian styles of cloisonne were inspired by similar creations by contemporary Russian artists such as Faberge. Largest spoons are relatively the same size: 4.2" L x .875" W (10.7 cm x 2.2 cm); smallest spoon: 2.875" L x .675" W (7.3 cm x 1.7 cm); silver quality for all: 91%; total weight: 52.9 grams
