Ancient Seas, Middle Miocene to end of Pliocene eras, ca. 28 to 1.5 million years ago. A gorgeous set of wearable jewelry pieces constructed from fossilized shark teeth exhibiting mottled gray and black hues. A pair of attractive earrings are set with modern silver wire settings that nicely complement the smoky hues. The largest tooth features a gold-filled wire setting that enables its wearability along with a modern necklace strand. Size (tooth pendant): 1.7" W x 2.375" H (4.3 cm x 6 cm); (necklace strand): 22" L (55.9 cm); (each earring - both are relatively similar): 0.75" W x 1.5" H (1.9 cm x 3.8 cm)

  • Condition: Wearable as shown and constructed in modern times. Shark teeth are ancient; stringing and metal wire components are modern. Teeth have minor abrasions and a few stable hairline fissures to enamel, otherwise intact and very good. Great luster throughout. Small holes drilled into tops of roots to fit wire settings.
