Description:

Ancient Seas, Middle Miocene to end of Pliocene eras, ca. 28 to 2.6 million years ago. This is a fossilized tooth from a prehistoric megalodon shark that has been polished to show off the gorgeous coloring and layers. The glassy polish gives the obverse face a pleasantly tactile and silky-smooth surface and exposes the inner fossilized matrix of black and brown hues which is normally covered. The verso of the tooth is unpolished, showing the matte qualities of the root and natural luster of the pale gray enamel. Megalodon teeth are an amazing testament to the massive size of these prehistoric creatures that were once apex predators of the sea! Size: 4.56" L x 3.08" W (11.6 cm x 7.8 cm)
