Description:

**First Time At Auction**

Ancient Seas, Middle Miocene to end of Pliocene eras, ca. 28 to 2.6 million years ago. An attractive fossilized tooth from a prehistoric megalodon - the largest fish and shark to ever exist! This tooth's enamel has been professionally polished on both faces to a glossy and smooth texture, revealing the dark stone matrix under the paler, gray enamel. The verso is completely polished to enhance the natural matrix that is normally hidden by the enamel layers. Pleasantly smooth and tactile to hold, this tooth is a wonderful example of one of the ancient seas' most feared hunters! Size: 5.84" L x 4.45" W (14.8 cm x 11.3 cm); 6.25" H (15.9 cm) on included custom stand.
