Harold Alfred (First Nations Canadian, Kwakwaka'wakw, b. 1953) A pair of large copper decorative wall hanging made by the contemporary artist Harold Alfred, signed on the base "H. Alfred" with a otter symbol. The largest is hammered and etched with an anthropomorphic sun face, creator of life and the ancestor crest of the Kwakwaka'wakw people. The smaller plaque is the moon's face with the lunar phase portrayed atop the brow. Size of sun (largest): 15.3" Diameter (38.9 cm); moon: 11.5" Diameter (29.2 cm)
