Description:

Pre-Columbian, Maya, Late Classic Period, ca. 600 to 850 CE. This is an interesting composition depicting a warrior in battle regalia with an attachment plaque; he has a spout in the middle of his stomach. This would have been an architectural detail, maybe to drain water (although there is little wear, so it may have been for something else). It is likely that the piece originally was painted brightly and may have had some perishable clothing items. He holds weapons and wears, in addition to his war helmet, armor, skirt, a large nosering, and earrings. Size: 2.2" L x 8.85" W x 10" H (5.6 cm x 22.5 cm x 25.4 cm).
