Pre-Columbian, North Coast Peru, Inca culture, ca. 1100 to 1532 CE. This textile bag is comprised of tightly-woven camelid/cotton fibers of cocoa, white, taupe, and chocolate brown hues. The composition presents a lovely arrangement of vertical registers of checkerboard and striated motifs. A lovely example of ancient Andean weaving. Size: 13" L x 15" W (33 cm x 38.1 cm)
