Description:

Pre-Columbian, north coast Peru, Chimu, ca. 1000 to 1400 CE. A fine pottery vessel, its form comprised of twin compressed globes. The front section is impressed with image of human head and arms, with a trio of fish and birds against a stippled ground in the panel below. The rear lobe, decorated with three fish against a stippled ground, has a central spout, acting as the mouthpiece to the whistle that sits behind the human's head. Functions perfectly! Size: 7.5" L x 7.125" H (19 cm x 18.1 cm)
