Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A tall example of a pottery figure seated with attenuated legs pulled closely in onwards the body, perhaps suggesting this figure is perhaps a dwarf. The left arm bends outward before being placed gently beneath the chin in an inquisitive manner while the right hand grasps a ball in a backwards-facing direction. The expressive countenance exhibits ring-shaped eyes, a prominent nose, slightly parted lips, and a pair of discoid earspools, all beneath an ornamented headband set high on the brow. Size: 4.5" L x 9.25" W x 13" H (11.4 cm x 23.5 cm x 33 cm)

- Condition: Professional repair and restoration, with resurfacing, overpainting, and applied earthen material along new material and break lines. Abrasions and softening to some finer details, with chipping mostly on head and headdress. Nice size and form.
