Description:

Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom, 18th to 20th Dynasty, ca. 1550 to 1070 BCE. A hand-built pottery pilgrim flask of sizable form bearing bullseye motifs along both sides of the convex body. Above is a pair of arching handles that flank a squat neck, and the mouth of the vessel leads out to an integral offering cup. Remains of the original red-orange pigment is still visible in scattered areas across the exterior. Size: 2.25" L x 4.2" W x 7.75" H (5.7 cm x 10.7 cm x 19.7 cm); 7.7" H (19.6 cm) on included custom stand.

  • Condition: Repaired along neck, with small chips and light adhesive residue along break lines. Abrasions and fading to pigment, with pitting and a few spalls, and light earthen deposits, otherwise in great condition. Nice preservation to overall form given the size.
