Description:

Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A fascinating redware vessel in the form of a bowl filled with a stacked pyramid of berries or similar fruits. A cuboid spout with a wide, rectangular mouth, projects from low on one side. This bowl may have been made for holding offerings in a tomb. Size: 6.25" L x 6.15" W x 3.5" H (15.9 cm x 15.6 cm x 8.9 cm)

This piece was exhibited at the Marjorie Barrick Museum, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in the early 2000s.
