Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st century CE. An exquisite Roman 24K gold bracelet composed of two rows of 10 joined hemispherical gold bosses decorated with twisted wire between each pair, with the links comprised of wire that was carefully bent through a circular loop on each boss, and the ribbed clasps at each end elegantly adorned by a repousse palmette that is further embellished with a trio of globules. Size: 8" L x 1.125" W (20.3 cm x 2.9 cm); weight: 60.9 grams.
