Description:

Roman, early Imperial Period, ca. 1st to early 2nd century CE. A fine cup formed from translucent glass boasting pale yellow hues and faint streaks of aubergine along the rounded bottom. The curving walls taper towards a lightly-corseted neck line, and a thin rim has a ground-down lip for ease of use. The exterior is decorated with 17 pattern-molded ribs, and scattered areas of faint silvery iridescence imbue the vessel with an elegant presentation. Size: 3.3" W x 2" H (8.4 cm x 5.1 cm).
