Central Italy, Etruscan, ca. 550 BCE. This is a burnished bulbous black-ware vessel on a rounded base with a loop handle and a very slight lip on the rim for a pouring channel. This is a delicate, light, beautiful piece that may have been used for pouring wine at a small banquet. Size: 6" H x 4" W (15.2 cm x 10.2 cm).
