Magna Graecia, Southern Italy, Ionia, Ephesos, ca. 245-202 BCE. A silver / AR didrachm from Ephesos in Ionia. OBVERSE: Draped bust of Artemis right, wearing stephanos; bow and quiver over shoulder. REVERSE: Forepart of stag right; head reverted. Magistrates name to left, single Greek letter on either side of stag, bee to right on head. BMC 91. Size: 0.7" W (1.8 cm); total weight: 6.5 grams.
