North America, Canada, Alberta, Bearpaw formation, late Cretaceous, ca. 71 million years ago. This is a lovely pendant made of a fossilized ammonite, ammolite fragment, a peridot, and garnet stone all set in a sterling silver bezel and strung on an emerald bead necklace! The form fitting bezel has a pendant bail just above the cut and polished ammonite shell, which has a lovely umber brown hue. Below is a large slice of ammolite, a rare organic gemstone that comes from the shell of ammonites- a highly desired material that is only found in the Bearpaw Formation in Canada. This dazzling piece has green and orange iridescence. Complimenting the piece is a cut and faceted pale green peridot and wine red garnet. The open back bezel pendant is suspended on a strand of approximately 200 petite emerald roundel beads with an adjustable lobster clasp. The pendant is removable from the necklace, so there are different ways to accessorize with the pendant or bead strand! Size of necklace strand: 20" L x 0.125" W (50.8 cm x 0.3 cm); pendant: 2" L x 0.875" W (5.1 cm x 2.2 cm)

- Condition: Minor nicks to ammonite, otherwise pendant is in excellent condition and wearable. Necklace's emerald beads have a few nicks and signs of previous wear, but also very good condition and wearable!
