Description:

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A semi-translucent glass vessel of a pale blue-green hue with a slightly rounded base and a small, rough pontil scar, a bulbous body with dozens of shallow, pattern-molded ribs, a rounded shoulder, a narrow tubular neck, and a flared, in-folded rim. Fiery areas of beautiful silvery and rainbow-hued iridescence accentuate both the interior and exterior in a palette of sapphire, citrine, amethyst, ruby, and emerald colors. A delicate and elegant example of fine Roman glass-blowing craftsmanship! Size: 3.25" W x 5.25" H (8.3 cm x 13.3 cm).
