Description:

Western Europe, England or France, 17th to 18th century CE. A single brass candlestick that presents a lovely circular concave base followed by a tiered stem. A wide drip pan with a slightly indented and shallow center is set in the center of the stem for catching the wax. The stem is topped by a sconce with a deep socket. The surface is highly polished and has wonderful signs of use. This would be an excellent display piece and the surface is lightly polished. Size: 3.5" W x 6.25" H (8.9 cm x 15.9 cm)

  • Condition: Rim of base is repaired with torn area welded back in place with restoration material visible along break line. Indentations to this are on base as well. Indentations, surface abrasions and nicks. Heavy oxidation on underside of base.
