Description:

Ancient Egypt, Leontopolis, Tell el-Yahudiya, Middle Kingdom, 11th to 13th Dynasty, ca. 2130 to 1650 BCE. A delicate grayware pottery pouring vessel exhibiting a spherical body, a corseted neck, a thick rim, and a slender handle arching off the verso. The surfaces of the body are intricately pecked with zigzagging bands of stippling that was one of the decorative signatures of what has become known by scholars as "Tell el-Yahudiya ware" pottery. Size: 2.27" L x 2.29" W x 3.76" H (5.8 cm x 5.8 cm x 9.6 cm)
