Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom, 18th to 20th Dynasty, ca. 1550 to 1070 BCE. A wheel-thrown redware pottery jar of carinated form. A petite kick protruding from the center of the foot makes this vessel sit just slightly off-kilter but not so much to fall over. The russet-hued surfaces are decorated with hand-painted black linear decorations as well as pairs of dark triangles between parallel bars. Size: 3.35" L x 3.30" W x 3.50" H (8.5 cm x 8.4 cm x 8.9 cm)
