Egypt, New Kingdom to Third Intermediate Period, 18th to 25th Dynasty, ca. 1550 to 664 BCE. A beautiful hand-carved alabaster jar of slender form, tapering to a rounded base. In addition to its elegant shape, the alabaster features stunning wavy graining that illuminates these natural details when lit from within. Size: 7" L x 4.5" Diameter (17.8 cm x 11.4 cm)

  • Repaired. Lower tip of body is reattached with visible break lines radiating across the surface. A 2.5" gouged area on the exterior side is infilled with new material and new material is used to patch gaps along the break lines. 90% or more original material.
