Description:

Ancient Egypt, Neolithic to Predynastic Period, ca. 5000 to 3100 BCE. A set of 5 hand-knapped stone tools, perhaps chert, each with sharpened edges and smooth surfaces. Three of the blades are relatively ovoid in shape with even knapping grooves, and the darkest stone features large, tooth-like serrations on one side. The largest is of a gentle crescent profile with a wavy surface that is pleasant to observe. Size of largest: 5.3" L x 1" W (13.5 cm x 2.5 cm)

Provenance: private Lake Helen, Florida, USA collection, inherited via descent from grandfather, collected before 2000
