Egypt, Late Dynastic to Ptolemaic period, 26th to 33rd Dynasty, ca. 672 to 30 BCE. A lovely faience ushabti standing mummiform a top a plinth and holding a pick and a hoe with a seed bag on his back, dressed in a false beard and tripart wig, all enveloped in blue-green glaze. Size: 0.7" L x 1.1" W x 3.2" H (1.8 cm x 2.8 cm x 8.1 cm); 4.9" H (12.4 cm) on included custom stand.

Provenance: private Springville, Utah, USA collection, inherited via descent; ex-private American collection, acquired before 1994
